Text

To add text, click on the Text tool, then click and drag out a text box on the canvas and type some text.

When you make the text bigger, if it doesn't fit on one line, move your mouse over one of the blue squares - when it turns white, then drag it out to resize the text box.

To change the font type/size/color, first select it with the black arrow tool...

... then you can change the font type, size, color, etc. in the Properties panel.

You can change the Fill and Stroke options of Text just as you would any other vector shape.

• The Fill color is the color box next to the font type. 
• The Stroke color/options are by the Pencil icon...

Once you've set the Fill to a color, you can click on the the Fill color box, and you will see more options:

For the Stroke, you have to first set it to a color, then when you click on the Stroke color box, you will see the "advanced" button as well.

You can also add Effects/Filters, just as you can to any Vector shape, by clicking on the '+' button in the Properties panel. Remember, you have to have the black arrow tool selected to see this!
