Reflection

Copy the Airplane photo below into a new FW document.

Select the Lasso tool setting Edge to feather, 2.

Then draw around the man's head carefully, including the upper chest, something like this...

  • Copy & paste into a new layer (CTRL+C, and CTRL+V).
  • Deselect (CTRL+D) and select the black arrow tool (or double-click off with the black arrow tool).
  • Move it up and over a bit.
  • Scale it down a little using Free Transform or CTRL+T (hold SHIFT so he doesn't get disproportional).
  • Make the copy smaller and so the man fits in the window - can have some over edges.
  • Then Enter to apply the transformation.

Use the Eraser (soft edge) zooming in, erase around his head carefully.

In the Layers panel, change the layer blend mode to Screen.

It'll be faded like this...

Select the area not in the window with the Lasso or Polygonal Lasso tool (make sure"Anti-alias" or "Feather", not "Hard").

Delete the selection and you're done.
