Stars

  1. Make your canvas 400x400.
  2. Draw out a Rectangle to fill canvas.
  3. Fill with Pattern - Cloth-Gray

FILTERS>Adjust Color>Brightness/Contrast: 

  • Brightness= -50 and
  • Contrast= +85

Copy the starfield rectangle just created and paste it on top of itself:

  1. Select the rectangle. 
  2. Copy (CTRL+C).
  3. Paste it (CTRL+V). You will see a new "Rectangle" layer in the Layers panel.

In the Layers panel, change the layer Blend Mode to "Screen" and the Opacity to 90%.

Use the Scale tool, zoom out to 50% and rotate the rectangle.
